Michael Connelly is an American author of detective novels, notably those featuring LAPD Detective Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch.  Born July 21, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,

Connelly was the President of the Mystery Writers of America from 2003 to 2004.  His books have been translated in 35 languages and he has won every major mystery honor.
